The mission of the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) is to develop, promote, and maintain voluntary electronic commerce standards for the mortgage industry. Established in 1999 by the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, MISMO encourages participation from all sectors of the industry.
