Object-relational mapping articles

Object-relational mapping products integrate object programming language capabilities with relational databases managed by Oracle, DB2, Sybase, and other relational database managers. Object-relational mapping products are designed to work well with object programming languages such as C#, C++, and Java. These articles provide a background on object-relational mapping products and their use.

New articles will be added regularly. If you would like to be notified when new articles are available, add your name to our mail list.

Finally, in addition to the articles listed below, be sure to check out the database concepts and standards articles (new window). Many of these database concepts apply to all forms of database management systems: relational (RDBMS), object (ODBMS), XML (XDBMS), and others as well as object-relational mapping and XML-mapping products.
